I love too hard, don't I?
Expectations through the sky.
What a privilege to be numb,
Love without risk of your heart coming undone.
I'm not blind to the beauty in the deep.
I don't need, I don't need to be free.
I give out the love I seek in return,
And baby it burns,
Oh it burns, oh it burns.
I give too much don't I?
All my energy and you don't bat an eye.
Not asking for the world,
So I'll give myself what I deserve.
What I deserve,
I deserve so much more.
I see my life through poetry,
Pouring out the details that you don't really need.
But I do it so you can sleep,
The moment your head hits the pillow,
Who cares what I need?
I give out the love I seek in return,
And baby it burns,
Oh it burns, oh it burns.
